Boston Sights, Sounds and Hotels
The Sacred Heart Church was established in 1833 in Boston, known then as the Seamen’s Bethel. In colonial days the wharves reached further inland and mariners found solace and religious succour here. As the area was also a notorious red-light district in the 19th Century, they also in all probability found other comforts and much to confess in the church. Today this old church in Boston is Roman Catholic and every Sunday a mass is conducted in Italian.
It may be your mother tongue, but perhaps it's a good idea to familiarise yourself with some Boston English before you set off to visit the wonderful city of Boston. The fabulous Boston Hotels will welcome you in true Boston style, and you will never want to leave.
